How do you shave?

Aren't there any machos here who use a butane torch?

I have a buddy, an ex-SEAL. who says SEALs are so tough they just pound the stubble back into their cheeks with hammers and bite off the hairs from the inside. Says it saves a lot of time every morning. Who am I to question what he says??? :D

After you're done with the blade rinse it well and throw in blade first into a tiny bit of Olive Oil (Olive works best, little less acidic than reg. veg oil or mineral) When you're ready to shave again, rinse and go. This will extend the life of the blade a tiche' longer. Occasionally running it backwards on a pair of jeans after the rinse will help the blade a bit too.

After I shave, I rinse the razor very well, dry it, and then put in some baby oil. I got a small jar with a lid that screws down tight, and I keep it in there...seals it away from the moisture/humidity in the air in the bathroom.

I've seen a couple of products that you mention, to sharpen the blades, but I also saw a video on YouTube where a man is running the blade on his forearm...opposite direction of the shaving motion of course...for ten strokes. He says he's gotten a year out of one blade.

I have stopped using the Fusion gel...as crazy as it sounds, I found some very cheap canned foam at Wal-mart, with an Equate label (which is their store brand), that supposedly compares to Gillette Foamy. It gives me the best shave of anything else I have tried so far.
