"Why won't my square butt airweight fit in it's box?"

I considered a poll butt head I don't want to limit personal expression.....

It is the title to a very dissected and information filled thread by one of the
our more serious members, so to avoid wrath and indignation it is posted
here......

Like bad punctuation and grammar. Should be "its".:D

As for the rest of it, well, I can think of lots of things to say about airweights and round butts, but those are not related to firearms and I try not to tempt the mods.:p

At least Bubba used a few capital letters. ;)

What does the Lounge have to do with guns?

Have you been spending time at the Colt forum?;)

As long as we are doing "spelling police raids" -

>I considered a survey butt I don't want to limit personal expression.....<

One t - but.

Hey, Moondawg, I used an ample number of capital letters, I think.:p

This would really make you howl: when I was prosecuting juvenile offender cases here (2/2000 - 1/2007), we had a juvenile probation counselor (think "PO") whose probation violation reports were bad enough that I used to return them with red ink markings to point out the stuff that made no sense or had other writing flaws.:D

I admit a bias - I make my living with the written word, and having professional documents from others that are not well written makes me cranky. My co-author and I have an article pending on such problems in LE policy drafting right now. Lawyers whose briefing is really badly written (which happens all too far often) makes me even more cranky, which tends to show up as snarky comments in reply briefs. I even taught a judge to refer to some forms of bad briefing as word salads.

Actually its should be it's.

The above are incomplete sentences. :D

Actually, "it's" is the contraction "it is".

The possessive "belongs to it" is "its".

Looks to me like Doug is correct.

Yes we are.

People that can't spell get out attention.

:p

It's been edited since I wrote that.

Some usages and spellings can and do induce a cringe in me, but I no longer have the energy to get really incensed. I never was one to fire off corrections unless I was attacked in a really illiterate manner. ;)

I give you guys a perfect point of departure..............

And you turn this into a SPELLING thread..????????

Pearls before whines...........

I never could spell worth a darn. The teachers in school expected us to learn without their doing any real teaching. By High School (or hi skool) my principal ask "What I was going to do in the real world?" I told him, "The same thing my father does at the office, hire out of work teachers to be secretaries." Now days we have 'spell-check', I think I spell better than many of the computer programs. Good luck communicating. Ivan

Oh, I said this right away: "As for the rest of it, well, I can think of lots of things to say about airweights and round butts, but those are not related to firearms and I try not to tempt the mods."

And I said

"What does the lounge have to do with guns?"

This is not the Colt forum...........;)

I will give you a one time pass for "Dementsional Dissplacement"

Spell Monitors Beware
