HOW I GOT MY HANDLE

Memories

While listing, how I got my handle, I had a brain poop, and forgot a favorite, Handle, Sut. This handle was given to me by, a deceased, former employer, who was also a mentor, and close friend. When he employed someone, he gave that person a handle. Mine was taken from a character from his favorite comic strip, Barney Google, and Spark plug. That character's name was, Sut Tatersaul, the feather merchant. This he shortened to just Sut.

When I was younger I hunted chukar like i was killing snakes.
My brother and I went every weekend of the season and took a week off in season to hunt them.
60 is the year of my birth.
Nowadays, I look at those steep rock strewn slopes and say to myself, “your time is over, let the young guys chase them.”
The name is my user name for everything but my online banking so I never forget it.

When I retired from the Navy in the late '70's and went to work for an insurance company they were just starting to use PC's. This required everyone have a UserID. It was decided to assign them as the first 3 letter of your first name and the first three of your last name. (DEAn DINgler) and it just kind of stuck.
There were a few problems with a couple of Vietnamese that had two letter names and programming had to design a filter that sorted out combinations that would get you dinged here.......:o (They had to do the same thing with the randomly generated 4 letter passwords.)

OK...this is dumb. :D Back in the 70s, my "handle" on the CB radio was Big Mac. Not because I'm all that big, but I loved McDonald's Big Macs. I just deleted the "Big" and added the "G" for the first letter of my first name. :D The real "G-Mac", of course, is Gerry McNamara of Syracuse University basketball fame.

I was lucky to be the child of parents that lived in a valley running off the Cumberland Plateau in the Appalachian Mountains. My people have been here for 200 hundred years. Before the great exodus by the new Europeans they called the "trail of tears" where they removed the Cherokee from these great mountains to Oklahoma, they named this valley and the creek, Little Coon creek, next door across the mountain is Big Coon valley and creek. and on the other side of the mountain is Crow Creek and valley. So I became Littlecooner on these various forums. I hope the spirts of the native Americans that lived here approve, I watch as guardian over hundreds of graves of those that lived here centuries ago . It was my way of honoring the Native Americans that were forced to abandoned one of the most beautiful places in North America.

Well my CB handle mid 60s- mid 70s was "Mr Bullet":D My buddy sold and repaired communication equipment so I had a well adjusted/set up good running radio.

Did a lot of hydrodynamics early on. It's the expression for "vorticity" .

Why does that bring back old math memories ?

I was absent from the forum for a couple years or so, lost the wife, changed computers, moved, and a change or several in on line servers, I couldn't remember my pass word and the forum didn't recognize me, saying someone already has the name "Rustybore", a name my son gave me when he looked down the bore of an old Mauser I had. So out of fustration trying to get on the forum, I used "Igiveup", and darn if it didn't go thru, so that is who I am now.

I have worked steel and forced it to do what I want it to for much of my life. Once I started forging I really got good at making steel do what I wanted. So I am Steel Slaver

My white ape Icon I took up when I was a moderator of the emulator portion of a Direct TV hack site, many years before I ever joined the Gorilla's S&W forum. I got sued in Federal court over that stuff. Live and learn:D

Ah! My avatar. It is me. In my CAS days some 22 years ago.

I have a matching fedora that was issued after the first Indiana Jones movie came out. It was made by Stetson and licensed by Lucusfilms so it could have an Indiana Jones logo pin in the band and a picture of Indiana Jones inside the crown. People could take us for brothers.
