How many always carry the same gun?

For many years I only owned one gun - a model 60. I have other EDCs today but I always revert back to the comfort of years of familiarity.

I'm relatively new to CCW, and have only ever used a couple different guns for carry.

My Kel-Tec P3AT is always found in my strong side front pocket. The gun was bought when I turned 21 for that exact purpose. With the exception of a box of Magtech FMJ early on it has performed flawlessly. I fully trust it mechanically and have found that I shoot just as good, if not better, with it as my main carry.

My main carry has been an M&P40c IWB at about 3:30-4.It was bought as a workhorse; something I wouldn't worry about the appearance of, just the function. It has never had so much as a hiccup even with the cheapest ammo.

I intend to keep the P3AT regardless, but I may replace the 40c with a 45c or other gun from time to time. I might throw in a 340 also but haven't given it too much thought. Anything I use will function pretty much the same, i.e. no safety, so I wont be thrown off by needing a different technique in different circumstances. I think this is essential in any carry system.

LEO for 28 years and own quite a few S&W's. However would never carry anything but a Glock 27 in a cheap waistband holster. Pretty comfortable w/10 rds 40 cal and have access to it instantly. My first EDC was an NYPD centennial from the 80's when I first got hired there. Still have it but trust Glock more.
To all be safe.

I carry only a G17 or G26. I usually carry both. The controls are the same so I don't worry about getting jacked up under stress and pulling when I should have pushed or engaging when I should have disengaged.

I always carry my 638-3, except when I carry my 64-2, 2", or my 66-2 2.5" or my 65-5, 3"...oh...er hardly ever!

I carry the same thing on and off duty. SIG P229R and S&W 37 as my BUG.
The SIG I am issued and really don't like it. The J frame is personally owned.
I have qualified with up to a dozen different off duty pieces in one year before. Then I had an epiphany one day. I have been issued SIGs for 15 years and have the most trigger time with them. Despite the fact that I don't like them it makes the most sense from a familiarity and liability standpoint. The second most familiar platform for me are S&W revolvers (I started 17 years ago with a 686).
I own other weapons and really enjoy taking them to the range. There are some that I would much rather carry on and off duty but I feel it is the best practice for me to carry what I am most familiar with.

My usual carry gun is my glock 19. I know it well inside and out. A friend of mine had a habit of wearing a different gun almost daily just for the hell of it. The problem was he never really mastered the use of any of them. On one occassion he almost had to draw and couldn't remember how to work the safety because he was used to gun X but was carrying gun Y.

I carry a S&W M&P9C. I am looking at the model 60, I like the idea of several different rounds for practice and the different options this presents.....

I carry two different handguns- it just depends on where I am going, what I'm wearing, and/or what I will be doing. I do the XD9 IWB or the LCP with a pocket holster. That way I am not that restrictive with my activities.
