How many guns do you own?

I'm 86 and I don't have enough guns. Maybe if I win the Lotto I could have enough guns.

This reminds me of something a friend and well respected member here (kwill1911) (Kevin Williams) told me a long time ago , asking a man how many guns he owns is like asking a Texas cattleman how many head of cattle he owns. It’s considered impolite and in poor taste.

or how many acres he owns...unless you know him real well.

On my last visit to the UK a very old friend of the family asked me how many guns I had. My wife smirked.

My reply, "Why do you assume I know?" and turning to my wife, "Do you know you many pairs of black stilettos you have?"

My wife shook her head, but was failing dismally to keep a straight face. This brought on, "But what about your registration paperwork?"

"Oh no! We don't do that in Nevada."

Collectors collect things. Asking that may seem innocent to you, but it's down right personal. Nobody has found or turned in my P320 .45 yet. I took that very personal.

If you change that to

"the vast majority of crimes committed with a firearm in this country are committed by individuals who illegally possess one, or at most, 2 firearms."

it would be more accurate.
