The wife and I bring all 7 and then once we see what ammo is available that day, we'll settle on 2 or 3. Always the 22 semi and then either the 9 and 45 or a couple of the revolvers.

Sometimes 1, sometimes 2, sometimes 3. Including the ammo, I can't fit any more in my range bag. Mostly I just shoot 1 or 2 out back in the woods at a steel target.

When I was younger I'd end up dragging all my guns to the range, these days its usually just 2 or 3. 99% of the time one is a Glock since that's what I carry. I agree with Sodacan though, the worst part is packing up and a lot of guns and targets (and picking up brass for reloading) just sucks.

I usually bring 2 or 3 but typically only shoot one. As mentioned, I don't really want to clean a bunch of guns so that comes into play. I always would bring more than one just in case I had an issue with one of the guns. I'd hate to go to the range, fire off a couple rounds, have something break and have to go home because I had nothing else to shoot.

I will sometimes take more that two if I have several changes, mods or loads to check out. But, generaly, I will take just two. One is the gun I want and plan to shoot extensively. The other is a back up in case someting goes wrong with my principal shooter. That way I never waste a range trip.
Sometimes I will take a light recoiling gun to get comfrotable and then switch to a thumper for a few mags or cylinders to improve my large caliber skills without shooting until fatigue starts causing me to flinch.

We went yesterday and I took 3 handguns and a long gun. However 1 hand gun and the shotgun were new to me and needed testing to insure they functioned.
Had a good time and I still need to clean um. That will be tonights project.

I usually take just one or two. I'm happier with the results I achieve when primarily only shooting a limited number of firearms. Plus, I cast and load my own ammo, so I enjoy shooting in volume.
I also have my own range which is maybe three minutes away counting unlocking the gate and unpacking. I go often, so I don't feel compelled to empty the safe and shoot everything I own.

I don't shoot nearly as much as I used to. When I go I always have a KMK 512 Ruger .22. I load 5 mags 5 times so a Wally box last 2 trips. Usually a 9mm, 100-150 rds, and a .38/.357 with 50-100rds. occasionally a fourth gun in .45acp, .45 Colt, .44 mag 50-100 rds. Adds up to about 2K rds/yr, not nearly enough to be proficient but enough to not be too dangerous in public. Joe
