For a long time now.
Just the opposite actually. Threw a lot of grenades in my younger, (and not so younger), days, more often than not fueled by Wild Turkey. Also received my fair share of black eyes. These days I've switched to non-alcoholic beverages and am content to sit back and watch the show.

My Grandma was fond of saying "if you're gonna think it, you might as well say it." And she usually did.
After my latest "vacation", I realized that there is a fine line between being a wit and being a halfwit. On occasion, I have been known to tread that line.
The temptation is always there...
I reached that age at around 13! Now, half century later, I kinda enjoy watching what happens if I just say:

I do not go out of my way to insult or anger anyone, but the truth is undeniable.
Most of the time I just smile & munch my popcorn...Unless! I can deliver the type of comment that the recipient doesn't realize what I meant until hours or maybe days later(and I'm safely out of reach!). I get a great mental image of the person stopping dead in their tracks & saying "Hey! Wait a minute...".

I know I should keep my mouth shut,I try to not say anything that might hurt someones feelings,I try to see the other sides viewpoint, BUT sometimes that old Devil gets my tongue and I have said it! You can't fix stupid!

The written word is the only filter I have. It gives me a chance to reconsider what would have left my lips without a check. Then again sometimes I just don't give a ****.

I had a heart attack in March. Since then I've found myself more vocal and less tolerant of alot of other people. I had to walk out of a grocery store last month. The old ladies blocking the aisles with their carts while they looked at cans of peaches just about sent me over the edge.
When I get bad and my wife gives me that look, I blame the pills. But we all know, it's not the pills. I wish it was that simple.
