How much are the 2" Mod 63s worth ?

Current Bid $1,325.00 Reserve not met, Started at $500.00

And the high bidder is a newbie with no previous history. Do I smell a shill bidder?

my experience has been about the same as CajunLawyer's. i also have the 4" 63. i sent it back to S&W who twisted the barrel a bit and sent it back with a target they had shot bearing a decent group. (probably shot at 5ft.)it still won't shoot for me at 25yards. if i don't just go get a Ruger MKII, i may have to spend a little time checking the cylinder throats and then possibly send it off to the cylindersmith to have them opened out or firelapping might be useful if it turns out there is a constriction in the barrel.
strangely i can shoot my 317 3" at the same distance and get good groups and hit golfballs with some regularity. and those are supposed to suffer from bad triggers. i have tried all kind of ammo (fwiw it likes federal cheap 38gr hollowpoint stuff best) and am currently fiddling with grips to see if that helps....
anyhow i just don't see a 2" one being much better either. i suspect folks would pay less for them if thay spent a little time with one.
Regards,
Rich

This is another example of Smith discontinuing desirable guns for which there is still strong demand.
JudgeColt,
The gun that sold for $1300, is a Lew Horton Gun.Mine for $700 is not a Lew Horton gun. Only difference I see is the box says Lew Horton, my original box doesnt.Same exact gun.
Tom

The revolvers are the same, just one was sold through Lew Horton. Great gun no matter what the box (if you have it) say's.
