How much did you pay for your M&P Shield?

Just checked Bass Pro here in Las Vegas.
$469.00 + tax.
Screw them. I'll look elsewhere.

Buy online. Gunbuyer has them for $339.00 with free shipping, no tax. Mine came in perfect condition. I have no financial interest in Gunbuyer. But I purchased my Shield 9mm and my M & P 22C through them and they were flawless transactions. :)

I paid....Zero.
OK, here's the story.
I've owned an FNS-9 for a couple of years. It shoots great and is extremely reliable, however with my slim build and it's double stack grip, I can't conceal it except in the winter under a jacket.
I purchased an SW PC 5" 1911 and a Kimber Pro Carry II for IDPA and everyday carry so the FN languished in the gun safe.

Fast forward to a few days ago...
I interviewed for an armed transport and executive protection job.
One of the guys I currently work with also applied. The only gun he owns is a Shield with 100 rounds shot through it and he'll be needing a full sized gun for the armed transport job.
I let him borrow the FN for the shooting portion of the interview/assessment and he loved it.
I told him I'd trade him my FN for the Shield and he agreed.
Since I'll be doing the executive protection gig, I'll be needing something a little more discrete than my 4" Kimber and this trade makes it a win-win situation for both of us.
Did I take a loss on the deal? Numbers-wise: Yes.
However since I haven't shot the FN in over a year and I had no plans to, we both came out ahead.
I took it out yesterday and ran 150 rounds of WWB and 2 boxes of HST through it. It shot flawlessly.
Other than the weird reset, I really like it and carrying it in a Galco King Tuk makes it disappear under a t-shirt.

Sounds like a good reason to move to another state.
When I bought my Shield I filled out a 4473, paid and went home with it.
Yep. Nevada recently passed a bill which negates all handgun registration (no more "Blue Cards"!). Walk in, fill out the 4473, pay your money, and walk out.

Got a Shield

For a well used third generation G19 and six magazines for the same. I got the Shield and three mags, a pinky extension for the 7 rounder the others are 8 rounders.

$347.39 OTD. LGS had a great sale the weekend a gunshow was in town.
($319.99 + tx & $5.00 call in fee).
375 rds so far NO ISSUES. Wanted a Shield quite a while, at this price, had to get it. Mine was test fired 6/29/15, I took it home 7/23/15.

$319 + tax for a non thumb safety 9mm at my favorite LGS who price matched another lgs.

Now I bought mine from a LGS because I needed someone to take my non-minute of paper Taurus .45 off my hands, but volume certainly does make a difference in price/cost to consumer.

I wouldn't buy from any of them when you can get one online for $339.00, or less with free shipping and no tax. My ffl is $25.00 and if I really shopped I could get that for less. But I really like the guy so I'm not looking.

349, no tax, 10 shipping, 10 for ffl transfer if you produce your ccw. That was from Impact Guns months back...

On 7-25-2015 I bought a LNIB Shield 40 for $300 + $21 tax = $321 total. Went back to the same shop today and bought a NIB Shield 9 (No Safety) for $400 OTD ($373.83 + tax). Looks like my "avg. price" is $360.50 each, for the 2 guns, including tax. No matter, I'm happy with both! :-)

I paid $379.95 plus tax at a recent gun show. The rest of the dealers selling Shield 9s were asking $399.95 or more. And most of the big box gun stores locally are selling them for $399.95 as well.

My brother and I both bought Shield 9's at a recent Gunshop in Savannah for $299.99 + tax= $320.98 out the door. Mine has the safety, his doesn't same price.

We thought we made out very well!
