How much did you pay for your M&P Shield?

Man, you guys are getting good prices! My LGS wanted $450 + tax and they would not budge off that price. They usually move at least a little bit for me. They can't keep them on the shelf for even an hour, lol. The Shield comes in off the delivery truck and it's sold right away haha...

No kidding... I need to be patient and wait a little... Not paying 499+tax!! Or msrp when folks are able to buy them for less than $400.00

I'm waiting for the LE edition to be released. If the pricing structure holds true to the rest of the M&P line, the Shield LE should sell for $315 and include an extra magazine. :D
What will the difference be in the LE edition other than price?
I havn't bought one,but the one I looked at and handled locally was $439 plus tax.

I bought mine on the 16th at a LGS for $399 plus tax.

I know that in time, the price will go down a bit, and the LEO SKU guns will be a bit cheaper. But the few dollars I paid to have it now was worth it to me.

I'm really liking this gun...

Raven Concealment Systems announced today that their "Quick Ship Phantom" holster now includes the Shield. They plan on being able to start shipping holsters Tuesday.

I just looked at Raven's website - "Quick Ship" is 45 days?!?!

The only difference is price and an extra mag.

The .45's don't come with an extra mag for some reason though.

I'm hoping the shield does!

Small LGS was lucky and got two in. Told them to hold it, I'll be in after work. I got mine for 450. & tax. the other one was already gone. As new as they are, figured it be a "snooze ya loose" and I'd be waiting forever on one. Been keeping an eye on the other gun shops and the few they got in are gone and don't know when they'll get more. Talk about selling like hotcakes....

I paid $409 for mine from my LGS and managed to buy 1 extra 7 round mag for $32.95.
So far I have put 500 rounds though it without a problem, what a great little pistol.

I stoppod by the Gander Mountain in Tyler yesterday to kill some time. I asked the fellow at the gun counter if they had a shield. He said they did but couldn't find it. I asked what it was selling for and he said $549. I hope he miss spoke and ment $449.

I'm still bouncing off the walls because I actually found one. Five local gun stores couldn't get them so i drove 90 miles to Colorado (from Wyoming) today to get mine. $399 but I have to add $20 for shipping and another $18 for the FFL when it arrives.

This is gonna be the longest week ever....

$399.00 from Academy Sports in Houston. Gander Mountain and Carters Country want $449, but Gander would match Academy's Price. I understand that the Gander Mountain in Spring Texas has over 10 in stock.

Added a Houge Jr. Handall Grip sleeve from Gander for $10, Trimmed about 2-3 mm from the bottom once installed and what a difference. I have medium size hands, It's perfect. After seen pictures on blown up knees from striker fire pistols going off, I am going to love that safety lever.

Took it out today with my boy and put about 250 rounds. Just love it. I will be doing a trigger job to it to make it as smooth as my Bersa BP9CC and already ordered a Dawson Front fiber optic sight, and will black out the rear 2 dots.

Please post something about this. Are you saying that millions of Glocks have an inherent safety deficiency that is not being addressed?

I did not say that. I just mentioned striker fire. I am used to DA/SA guns. I see striker fire guns and of having one in the chamber and cocked ready to go with minimal resistance, it concerns me. I have seen pictures of triggers that snagged on weak holsters and clothing and people shot in the leg. We have a off duty PD officer who shot himself in the rear years ago by accident. I had a Beretta 380 that went off on my while 1/2 cocked. I have considered carrying a striker fire with out one in the chamber and have been practicing what they call the Israely draw. Accidents happened and no one is inmune from them. As someone who was almost carjacked years a go and took action as soon as I saw a guy with a gun getting out of the car I know that you can panic and question what your course of action should be and will question yourself after the ordela is over. I retracted my slide to place one in the chamber as my Walther P88 did not have one in the chamber. You must be prepared and practice and be disciplined to know your next move. Some people complain about the safety getting on their way, well it will if you do not know your weapon. Even your clothing will get in your way if you do not practice drawing and lifting your shirt with your other hand.

I was just thinking yesterday that I was gonna call the LGS to see when they might be getting the leo/mil shields in. I was curious to see the cost since the other versions are pretty significant.
