How much did you pay for your M&P Shield?

Just found out that the LGS that until now was my favorite, is charging $500 + tax for them. I might pay list price for one, but I'm not willing to pay a premium just because they're popular right now. They're free to charge what they want, but I lost a little respect for them when I heard that.

Straight list price ($449), but I still have to pay the transfer fee Tuesday when the gun arrives. It wasn't a matter of finding the best price, it was a matter of finding one, period, LOL.

Here in MA we have the special " how bad can we make a 10# trigger" addition and are still waiting in line for them. My LGS just got their first one in. Got to handle it. Liked it but almost feel the grip is too narrow. Time will tell, ordered one for $429+ tax. Hope to have it next week. Ifit's half as sweet as my M&Pc, I'll be a happy camper.

Full MSRP $449.00 plus tax at a nearby Army Navy store. IF Academy ever had them they sell for $399 but a phantom pistol does not shoot as well as the one a actually bought!

I visited many LGS in area, called others, 9mm shield seemed to be a myth in my area 3 months ago. I was tired of waiting, so in August I purchased on-line $480+$20 ship+$25 FFL fee= $525. Yes, alot of many, but well worth it, IMO. One thing that chapped my butt was the FFL I used asked how much I paid for it, I told him, he said we sell it for less, I said you never have any and when are you expecting some, he says "No idea we haven't had any in few months". Better to have it now and enjoy it than waiting for months if ever for them to pop up. I was up there recently, still no shields. Ha.

So you could have paid less for the Shield they don't have? Lol. It amazes me that people (including myself!) will spend time and $ in gas to drive around again and again to save a couple bucks.
