$440.00 OTD
Called Local gun shop on Jan. 21 they had no shields in stock and did not know when they would receive any.I asked if I could be put on a waiting list he said sure and took my information.Saturday Jan.26 he called to advise me he had some 9mm's come in and if I still wanted one? with in minutes my wife and I went to the shop and each of us got one. The price was 479.00 plus tax.My ten month search was finally over.
Got my .40 at Shooters Outpost in Hookset NH last night for 409.99 OTD![]()
Xknightrider -- I'm really sorry to hear that you have the mag drop problem. Get in touch with Customer Service and get a mailer so that they can get that fixed and back to you soonest!
Just curious, do you know your date of manufacture?
Either from the date on your fired casing envelope or from the 4 digit code on the box -- "2XXX" where "2" stands for 201"2" and "XXX" represents the date from 001 to 366, where 001 = Jan 1, 2012 and 366 = Dec 31, 2012.
I believe they had a fix in place sometime in August or September (just guesswork, no official times have been released), so if yours has the mag drop problem, it could help narrow down the date before they had an effective "fix" in place -- or, if it's a recent mfr date, it may mean that the fix isn't bullet-proof.
In any case, it would give us a little more information about a truly disappointing manufacturing glitch.
Thanks.
Mine is an HADXXXX built 9-18-12, just got it back from S&W CS with notes:
1. Pins Replaced
2. Replace Mag Catch
3. Test Fired/Meets Spec
Only thing was they forgot to ship back my 7rd mag, they said it show only checked in with the 6rd but I definitely sent both as they instructed me to do so! I called in and they apologized for the mix up and will rush me a 7rd out today. Time to get to the range and confirm the fix.
I missed out on that one but got one a few days later down the street at Riley's.
