How much did you pay for your M&P Shield?

Much to my dismay, I live in SoCal. I got a "Non Ca. compliant" Shield NIB through a private party transfer for $450 and feel I got a good deal.

not bad...thats pretty decent for PPT with the way guys out there are trying to price gouge their non-compliant shields lately. I got mine SSE for 560 after taxes

Shield price

I paid $365 + tax for the new "no external safety" 9mm shield a couple weeks ago. I buy from an FFL who works out of his home and has no overhead and his prices can't be beat. A far cry from a couple summers ago when anyone who was lucky enough to find one was reselling them for $750... and sadly people were paying it.

My latest Shield 9mm was $359 + free shipping from Palmetto State Armory. Transfer was $25, OTD was $384.

I paid close to $700 for mine.

I live in CA and bought it during the Newtown crisis. So, I had to pay a bit over MSRP. Then there was a $100 SSE fee because the CA version had not been released at the time, plus taxes and DROS.

I had bought a 9MM Sigma in 1998 and shot it twice,but not in the last 14 years.My son borrowed it last year and said it was having some issues with jamming.Fast forward to this year when I took my concealed carry class and was considering a few newer semiautomatics.After reading about the Sigma problems on this forum,I called S&W and told them of the issues with the gun and they emailed me a mailing label.They called the following week and said that my gun was unrepairable and offered me a free replacement.I chose the Shield 9MM with the safety and just paid the fees to the gun shop.Since then I have bought a Bodyguard 380 and a Ruger LCP.It has been 95 days since I applied for my CC card in Illinois and I am still under review.
