Other then cleaning the gun after shooting... How often do you clean the gun when you conceal carry once of twice a month? I carry with either a pocket holster or IWS. Thanks

I carry IWB and I try to at least wipe it down once a week with an oily rag. I'm unable to carry at work so it's not carried as much as I would like.

I inspect mine once a month whether I carry it or not. If it looks like it could use a touch up or the surfaces look dry (or I'm bored) I'll give it a quick cleaning. I always clean and lubricate after I go shooting too.

My pocket pistol (Taurus TCP carried in a Desantis Nemisis) gets the pocket lint blown out with an air hose once a week along with a light coat of oil on the slide to prevent rust. This gun is in my pocket anytime I have pants on. My other carry guns (carried IWB) are inspected once a month and cleaned if needed. All of them are field stripped and cleaned after a shooting session.

I generally clean after every range outing. I fondle, cycle, dry fire, wipe down approx monthly whether I shot it recently or not (especially when not).

Carry pieces once per week. Others after each range session. Ones I don't shoot much every couple of months swab bore and wipe down.

Carry piece, every time I shoot it for familiarization, so about once every 6 weeks. Competition guns about every 2 weeks (~1400 rounds) or a few days before a major match. On major matches I won't go to the match with a gun that hasn't been shot between the clean and the match. Want to make sure I didn't forget something  (not fun to find out that I forgot some critical part when the timer goes off).

As an old retired guy, I go to the range at least once a week, and blow out the lint of my pocket pistol (an M&P 40c) with Lawman 180s. More fun than an air hose! :D

All of my handguns are fired at least once a month (my 40c is fired weekly), and are cleaned after every range session. This may sound a bit O/C, but I actually enjoy cleaning my guns.

No such thing as occasional carry for me. If I open the front door, I am carrying. My three carry choices get a familiarization day at the range about every month. Every gun gets cleaned after use. I drop the mag on the semi-autos before holstering, to check that the release button still works since the Shield almost seized on me. Quick shot from a can of compressed air every couple of days to remove lint.
