Now that its summer time here in Florida with 100+ heat index, I only go to the range maybe twice a month. I go early in the morning for a couple hours.

I do all my reloading in the cooler months when its bearable in my garage. Its actually quite nice those months when the temps are in the 60's and 70's.

In the cooler months I get to the range once a week. How often do you get out?

Not as often as I would like. But I dry fire several times a week inside the house (110+ outside) or outside at night during cooler weather. The indoor range here is 12 miles away in the next city. I forgot to mention that I use .40 Cal.laser ammo when I dry fire. I have also had the XS sight night system installed as well as a laser Max sight. I don't use the laser sight when shooting at the range or qualifying.

Since retiring I go a couple of times a week. Generally take 2 guns with me and shoot about 50 rounds per gun. My range is indoors and with the current temps it get's hot in the afternoons so I go in the mornings and I'm usually there by myself which is nice.

Weekly here at our clubs indoor pistol range, and 100 meter underground rifle range. I shoot every other week or so the rest of the year at my sons 400 yard outdoor range on his farmstead.
The Underground rifle range has 3 lanes with Kongsberg electronic targets, and 3 lanes of manual targets that stop every 25 yards out to 100 yards or 100 meters whichever you prefer.

Wow! dedicated shooters! I shot at least once a week until retirement. Afterwards, living in the mountains of Eastern Arizona I shot 2-3 times a week during nice weather, maybe once a month in the winter. Now that I spend 6-7 months in Michigan and have to pay to use an indoor range with way too many rules, it's down to once every couple months until I go back to New Mexico/AZ for the winter then I try at least monthly.

I just can't stand indoor ranges. I have a very nice outdoor range here in Daytona Beach (Stricklands) that only charges $10 for a full day. The indoor ranges get more than that for just an hour.

Another question. Is it legal to fire an airsoft pistol in your back yard in city limits? I was thinking of getting one to practice when I dont feel like going to the range.

I have a monthly membership at my range. Free rangetime. If I go three times a month I break even. Indoor range. What limits me is heat and humidity in my shed where I clean the weapons.

Been going about four times a month this summer so doing good so far.

As a pretty much lifelong resident of Volusia County, (Until I moved up here!!;) ), if yer in the city limits of Daytona I would say no as even an airsoft pistol can be considered a firearm which is illegal to discharge in the city limits the best I remember.. Your best bet is to contact the local PD there or the VC Sherriff's office and see what they say. make sure you ask them what ordinance's apply..

That said, we gotta get together and do some shooting the next time I go back down to Pierson!! :D :D

About twice a month.....

I can run down to my indoor range in less than 10 minutes. So it's easy to just grab what I need and go and spend an hour or two. (usually that's enough)

Now the outdoor range is 50 minutes away and I have to plan for that trip and get EVERYTHING together so I don't get caught short. I usually won't spend less than two hours there and hopefully more if I have a lot of testing to do. I'm pretty worn out by the time I get home. I'm not as mobile as I was and going up and down to targets from 10 to 100 yards away can be wearing, besides carrying target stands and 'fun' objects to shoot at. (Usually bottles of water) I carry the chrono and a rifle and or shotgun as well as pistols. All that = a lot of work.

I shoot once a week, I'm a member at a range about 30 miles from home.It has 10 pistol bays and a 1100 yard rifle range, skeet, sporting clays . I've been shooting pistols.I spend about 4 hour's a day there it's hot now.Then I reload for a while,YALL KNOW HOW IT IS.I'M RETIRED.

2-3 times a month, have a lifetime membership at an indoor range 10 minutes from my front door. Great facility, excellent lighting/ventilation and state of the art target system. Limited to 25 yards so not much fun for long guns but for my handgun purposes it's great.

Two to three times a month at an indoor range. Less during the summer because the range is poorly air conditioned and the heat index here yesterday was 119!

100-150 rounds per month with my EDC and 20-30 rounds through home defense weapons every 3-4 months. Not as often as I'd like, but I think it's sufficient.
