Hey folks,

Just joined the forum as its been a great source of info. This summer I started my NJ state applications and 90 days later received my permits. Picked up a Walther PPQ 9mm first, followed by the M&P 22 next. Love both of these pistols. I'm more accurate w/ my PPQ, but still love 22. Just bent on the whole lack of good sights for the 22. I tried calling up S&W like others have done, but no one would send me replacements and no one would admit that the rear sight for the 9m fits on the .22.

My wife isn't too happy w/ my new hobby, but what else is new. I was trying to come up w/ a good way to discuss my Christmas present w/ her for weeks, a new AR style rifle, but kept delaying the discussion knowing it would just lead to an argument. I just kept saying, don't buy anything for me, I got it...

We'll I waited too long and that pyscho went nutz at Sandy Hook, and I knew any discussions were doomed. I was scoping out the M&P15-22 all along. Local gun dealer had it for $490. Also was checking out the AR-15's... Stags, Colts, Bushmaster, Wyndhams, all between $750 - $1100. They had about 100 of these at the store. After the shooting Friday, I went to the store on Tuesday, and they had 3 left in this price range... and about a dozen in the +$2K range. I couldn't pulls the trigger and buy it then. I came home and called 3 hours later to say I wanted the Wyndham for $950 and they said they were all sold. Wasn't very happy at all:mad:.

2 days later decide to call and see if they still had the M&P15-22 and they said they did. There's 4 people working there I know well and I'm sure they would have put it behind the counter for me as i was driving there in 5 min. The guy who answered said everyone was busy and he wouldn't do it. I got there 5 min. later and some beotch bought it right in front of me!! So upset. Fast forward to last night and finally found one available for $511 online. I ordered the M&P15-22 MOE - Flat Dark Earth and I'm sooo excited!! Now I just got to find some 15 round magazines for this... or just settle on the 10 rd available.
I saw the prices for them on gunbroker and ebay and almost soiled myself. Glad to see we can still get them elsewhere... but still can't find anywhere to get the 15 round mags. Anyone else know where I can find one??

See you on the forum and Peace out!! God bless.

Welcome aboard from the great state of Pennsylvania! All you can do is keep looking for the right price - bummer - but, that is life right now.

Welcome from South Carolina !!! Can't believe the number of hoops you had to jump through to purchase a weapon.

Welcome from VA! No worries, my wife doesnt like my gun hobby either, but one or two new purses later, she's learned to accept it lol.

Isn't new jersey pretty much N.Y.?

I kid, I heard it off a episode of ''How I met your mother''

Welcome!

Welcome from Texas... wow what a jouney you describe there... glad it all worked out for you... welcome agin and good shooting to ya.

Hello from Central Jersey. Check out Cheyenne Outfitters on Rt. 130 off of Rt. 195. They had plenty of 15-22. Don't know if they have mags.

Hey from south jersey.
Question, did you already get the moe version. All the moe versions I found had threaded barrels and collapsible stock. The only one that was able to be shipped to my FFL in south jersey was the 15-22 compliant model. (Fixed stock and unthreaded barrel). Interested to know.
