Hvy. bullet .38 Spec. loads?

Tony, I was wrong before: the .357 195-grain loading that I used was HS-6. It was outpowered by 2400 in the .38 case (old data).
Yeah, 2400 will out-power HS-6 considering 2400 is a slower powder. I just have to mention HS-6 at least once in these threads, no?? Actually, where most reloaders are using 2400 for middle and hot loads I use HS-6 for middle loads and W296 for very hot loads that 2400 can't deliver. I don't mind using 2 powders to achieve my goals. (or 20 powders lol)
 
I just found this article by Fryxell...it may be an old standard to many of you...news to me. While it doesn't point the way to heavy bullet loads it has a wealth of info about SWC bullets in the .38/.357. It leads me to see that the sweet spot is not far from 158 gr.
