I just made a "fun gun" purchase.

I just bought a Rossi Ranch Hand in the 38/357. I know it isn't a practical gun, but it will probably be a lot of fun to shoot. They had it in the 44 mag/44 spl, 45LC and 38/357. I almost got the 45LC, but the $60 price tag on a box of 50 steered me the other way. I used my Gander Mountain rewards so I got it for under $400. I wanted something different so I figured this was it. I had to wait around the store for over an hour. The PA instant check system (PICS) was down so I can't pick it up till tomorrow. :(

Personally, I like it. I like ANY lever gun in .357. I'd prefer the sixteen inch carbine length, but it's hard to find .357 lever guns of any kind at a decent price. Cool piece!

I fondled one at the Kittery Trading Post in Maine.

Thought I was Steve McQueen for a minute.

I am starting to think that maybe I might have made the wrong caliber choice. I just saw Dirty Harry as I was surfing through the channels and saw the " Do you feel lucky" scene. I bet this handgun/mini rifle would have really been awsome to shoot in the 44 mag.
