I like this combination...

This ticks me off to no end, all these nice revolvers, and I drank most of my money away for 25 years after HS! I could have bought some of these beauts back then! (It's best I didn't have a handgun back then!)

That's where my gun money went between the ages of 18 and 30...After that I smartened up and started spending it on something that wouldn't just get flushed away down the toilet......Ben

Those are definitely a premium set of grips. The revolver is very nice too. A great looking pair to say the least. Ken does very nice work and I have a couple of sets of his.
They make even my revolvers look good.

Well I knew I wasn't the only guy on the grail hunt for a 4" Model of 1950 44spl, when Gil mentioned that Skeeter had one was icing on the cake. Yours appears to be in beautiful shape, good score. I put a set of Cokes on mine and up to this point am feeling good about them. I lean toward full target size stocks, although have a pair of Ken's stocks on one of my favorite carry pieces that is with me three or more times a week.

You hide your sorrow well, Kev...:D

But the two 6 1/2"ers I referred to are both .44 Specials...;)...Ben

I thought they were 44s. For some reason, the 44 never appealed to me. Some revolver as the 357 and the 1950 but I have always leaned towards the ACP cartridge.

Sure is, I've got two molds from NEI that throw these big "trash cans". One is .429 185gr., the other is .451 260gr. Those loads for the 1917 I worked up with 4.5gr. of Red Dot, nice healthy thump. Haven't tried them for accuracy in one of my Model 1955's, but am sure they would prove as accurate as about anything else.

I use the SAECO 453 mold to cast a 240 grain full wadcutter. I load a hardball dose of powder in ACP cases. That load works in all of my ACP revolvers spanning nearly one century of S&W revolvers. The long bearing surface helps grab and hold the shallow rifling.
