I love 3rd Gens but....

They aren't for the faint of heart ....

I shelled out $1600+ for a NIB WVSP 4566TSW.

Worth every penny.

These prices we consider high now will be reasonable come, oh, say ... 2016

I agree maybe in a few years but I just don't see it for a 6906 today. Guess I should question it too much. A buddy of mine sold a Ruger P85 for $800!!!! I sold it to him a few years ago for $200.

That may be a good price in a few years. I wish I'd discovered 3rd Gens just a few years ago.

Amen to that! Even last year at this time they were reasonably priced, but since all the goings on took place, guns across the board have risen in price. Some have rebounded to almost pre-panic levels but 3rd Gens...not so much. I still find a deal every now & then, but you have to jump on them fast!

My 6906 was $329 just a few years ago . . . with one mag and no box. I think you can do better with a little searching.

That price seems out of line to me. I got one 7 months ago for less than $400 and that included two magazines, the cost of shipping, and the transfer fee. That being said, value to me isn't the same as value to someone else. I also know that if somebody offered me 5 bills for the one I own and one mag, that puppy would be gone immediately. I can replaced it for less.

I got mine 3 months ago for $375. It was like new in the box with two magazines and a new $80 "High Noon" IWB holster.

I sold one about 20 years ago and regretted it until I finally replaced it.

That's stupid high and maybe it will be stupid higher in 2016 but that doesn't mean someone should pay the rip off price today. There is nothing special about the 6906. Around here they go $350-$450

I bought a lightly used 6906 with box, three magazines, Safariland 070 holster in 2008. I have to check my records, but I think I paid $275.00 for it. It belonged to a Capt. who was on a college PD, so it got next to no use. It was one of my better purchases.

Prices have been trending up over the past few years, but took a sharp turn up over the past year or so. I attribute that to people here talking them up so much. Let's keep that down in the future, we're only hurting ourselves. ;)

Last year, I decided to change my semi-auto pistol collection to fit my shooting preference, single action 1911 style pistols. Sold my 59,3906, 5906, 6906, CS-45 and 4566. Man, I wish I still had them to sell at today's' prices. Geeze, I see carry worn 3906's and 6906's going for $595.

I may have to rethink my preference of 9mm and .45acp......when talking 3rd. gens there seems to be a lot better prices for .40sw......probably because LE trade ins are hitting the market.....

Had the same thought but I would just add to the 9s and 45s. Besides, what's one more caliber of ammo to buy

Ya'll might consider that 40SW has been a lot easier to find than 9mm for quite a while now. Just sayin'!

9mm and .45 showing up on shelves around here at last....still cant find .22 LR with a search warrant

I've been having better luck at finding those calibers, too. What I meant to say was that when I couldn't find 9mm or .45 ACP, I could usually find 40SW. I don't shoot .22, but conversations with people & what I've read here make me believe that its still a bear to find.:D
