I love 3rd Gens but....

I, too, just received the CDNN, ans saw the S&Ws for sale. Can anyone offer any experience or advice of buying a firearm from CDNN? It seems to be a reputable firm. Many thanks.

I've only purchased one gun from CDNN, but they are a class act. Good prices and pleasant to deal with. They keep FFLs on file so my LGS didn't even have to send it to them - just gave them the name of my shop and the gun appeared the next day. Couldn't be easier.

BTW, the gun was better than described, too.

no firearms for me at CDNN....but some SW and SIG mags.....good prices and fast service.....:D

Bought a 5906 from them a couple of years back. $299+ about $15 shipping. Arrived in a couple of days, and was probably better than described as far as cosmetics. It was supposed to be very good, but I wouldn't have had any problem if it had been advertised as excellent. Good outfit.

Supply and demand. As more cheaply made, current production junk guns, enter the market, with high MSRP's, the nicer guns made in the past continue to appreciate in value.

Up until the last five years or so there was a decent selection of 3rd gen guns for sale at reasonable prices. Those days are apparently gone. Regards 18DAI

Deals are out there on almost any gun you want, you just have to search often.

Hit the pawn shops and search the internet a few times daily. I love the hunt!

Look what this 6906 in the box with 3 mags went for: used Smith & Wesson 6906 $348.00 SHIPS FREE

That same 6906 will be worth a lot more 10 years from now.

Heck, I remember in the late 80's thru the mid 90's when the new high capacity 9's were all the rage. Gunshops could hardly give away S&W revolvers and now nice ones go for $500 to $1,500!

Wish I had kept the Model 29, 586, and 686 I bought cheap then - and then traded away for guns I don't remember now.........

Small rural shop about 8-9 months ago. 98% 6906 with 3 mags, box and papers for $350. Very low round count based on the inside. Outside was near new, one little "mar" on the bottom of the dust cover IIRC. I would bet it went to the range or out back once or twice and then spent a lot of time in the old mans sock drawer. I didn't need it, but I bought it.

got my 5906 3 mags box all the papers and even the wax wraping paper for 450 but i would have gave 500 in a heartbeat people are swooping these things up like crazy now for some reason.
