I’ve had my share of minor accidents - not that I’m clumsy.. I just seem to do lots of stuff!

I was cutting some small tree limbs this past weekend and was putting the tree saw back up on the pegboard in the garage. I inadvertently bumped one of the wood saws and it came crashing down. Unfortunately, my arm was still raised and as it came down, it skimmed my forearm. I don’t know how many “teeth per inch” the saw has but it definitely left its mark!

It looks worse than it is and from a distance it looks like I was in a knife fight!

(Not my first blade injury.. you should have seen my foot when I dropped a butterfly knife I was “flipping”). :)

DANG! That hurts just to look at it!! At first I thought it might've been a chainsaw accident, but continued reading and am glad it's not worse.

However, you need a better story. You were on the right track when you said that it looks like you were in a knife fight. Better still...you were attacked by a crazed, doped up Ninja while you were enjoying a bottle of grape Nehi soda at the local mom and pop grocery story. He managed to nick you with his sword, but you jumped out of the way just in time to avoid further injury.

In the mean time, you grabbed your soda bottle by the neck, smashed it on the counter and gouged the guy's face so badly with the broken bottle that he went running out of the store screaming, "My eyes! My eyes!" while clawing at his face...never to be seen again.

See? Now doesn't that sound better than a saw slipped off the peg board in the garage?:D

Yeah…what he said!

That pesky gravity! Always good when it stops hurting.

I think I did the same thing when I was growing up.

That "knife" mark will get you some street cred here in da 'burgh. Ouch. I have so many scars from boilers, hot steam pipes, brazing rods all over my arms I look like a recovered junkie. Just never learned to wear long sleeves when working around HOT for over 40 years! (So I retired!)
Yeah, cool tattoo.

Tetanus shots up to date?

I think I’m covered… boosters every 10 years. Last shot was for a benchmade that landed point down on my barefoot.. it took four stitches (I have photos somewhere but they’re really gruesome). The ER folks assumed I was fixing breakfast and dropped a kitchen knife. I couldn’t bring myself to tell them I was flipping a balisong. Still have the scar and the knife!

^^^^Ouch. Please be careful. I know, I know...even then I've got myself a number of times too and it's no fun!
