I won a SW MP 15/22 in a raffle at a trap shoot yesterday. I own several 22lr rifles and one AR-15. Is there anything I need to know about this firearm to either improve it's function or help in making this a good procurement to the coming collection of the evil black rifle...

Step 2: Visit the picture thread on this forum
Step 3: Get one or two extra part time jobs
Step 4: Buy all "needed" accessories
Step 5: hopefully pay off credit card
Step 6: Finally get out to shoot your awesome rifle

Congrats on winning a 15-22! Financially it's about the same as your daughter winning a "free" pony.

Seriously, enjoy your new addition. It's a great rifle and tons of fun.

it's a great gun. go shoot it, then decide if you need anything. Personally I like a red dot, and don't like the stock grip, most everything else is just for looks as far as I'm concerned. spend your money on ammo

If its the regular one sell it new in box local to fund an MOE version off slickguns. The upgraded furniture and sights are worth it but the integrated QD sling mounts are worth the price increase alone.

Keep it clean
I upgraded my trigger to 3 1/2# CMC

For extra fun... I run a Slide fire stock
Nothing is more fun than 3 second mag dump

My rifle will run any brand ammo but it loves CCI mini mags

That 25 rnd stoppage can be a pain.

Yep, get some more mags ASAP then shoot the heck out of the rifle. Anything else you want to do it will become evident with use.

Mags will be a problem as I live in Colorado. I do travel to my other house down near Phoenix several times a year so I can pick more up there.
