Can anyone here help me identify more precisely, an older S&W top break being offered now on the Joe Salter forum? It's listed as a "4th Model Double Action .38 S+W revolver with a 5" barrel. Serial number 520017" The photo of the box shown with the listing shows a label marking of "Smith &Wesson Double 38 Action 5" ". I cannot find an match to this in Supica's Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson, although it most closely resembles a no. 3 or .38 Winchester Double Action.
Hopefully someone can steer me straight on this one as I'm kind of interested in this one.
Thanks in advance for any help. jp

Here's the html for the Salter listing:

Dean, Thanks for the quick Id response. I feel pretty lazy/inept. I have the new 3rd edition and readily found it after your advice.
It was like I was "blanking out" on those pages. Can't explain why I overlooked page 83 & 84. Guess it's the oldtimers disease.
Thanks again. jp
