Think time has come to sell my M & P Shield 9mm, first version.
Has the Talon soft rubber grip installed and TruGlo titanium sights. 2-7 and 2-8 round mags, original box and paperwork and lock as bought.
Less than 300 rounds thru it. Any ideas of a fair asking price. I bought it 3 months before the prices came down but don't expect to get my money back, just wondering a fair price. Looked at Gunbroker and other sites and nothing seems consistent. Low around $255 to high of $455 or so. I'm in Mid Florida if that has any bearing.

Where would a good place to list it and an idea of a fair price for it.

The used gun you describe would sell in my area for $250-300. It is a common, older gun with no particular value, even for the extras. If you did not have the extras, it would be worth no more than $250.

I would try a locally advertised face-to-face sale first. There may be more value in that transaction than for the extras.

If that didn't pan out, then I would trade it in to a gun store on a different gun, or sell it outright to a pawnshop. You might spend more time, effort and money trying to sell it than you should.

Go for the quick cash and be done with it.

I Paid $249 for my 2.0 Shield 9mm in September 2019
If you lived up the street I would offer you $300 & swap the slide = Get the Night Sights + Extra Magazines & sell the remains or keep it as a New York Reload..
They are Great little pistols for the Money Just Period

OK after thinking what I have in my holsters & extra magazines etc. I would think your Shield 2.0 would be worth $350+ in the current market as far as value

Assume you got a Shield Plus & Kept the holsters etc.
Would be interested in an extra 7 round magazine IF?
Have three 8 rounders currently but only the one 7 which is always in the pistol, I paid $20ea for the extra magazines

I have a 1.0 also that I purchased early on when the price was much higher than the later ones, $390 plus tax for a total of $419. I then put a talon grip, Apex trigger kit and night sights on it. I also have 4 8rd mags and 3 7rd mags for it. I am thinking that I could probably get $350ish for it and would be loosing my butt if I did. I think I will have to be buried with it. The Apex is better than the new Plus trigger anyway and in my mind, 9rds before a reload is enough to keep me from wanting to loose all that money for 4 more ads of ammo.

I've only seen 3 9mm 1.0 in my area for sale. I bought 2 of them for $275.00 each, and that included the transfer fees. Both had the correct box and everything that came with them.

OK, against my better judgment I sold my Shield today at the Tampa Gun show today. Wanted a little more but really wanted to sent the Shield to a better home. Got offers from $100 (Oh, it's only a first edition) to $150 pawn shop and gun stores. Took $250 from a dealer at the show and it's gone. Think he got a pretty good deal, Shield Ver 1 with extra Trigion Sights & original sights and Talon soft rubber grip installed. Less than 200 rounds fired and 2-8 round mags and 2-7 round mags.

Life goes on and I have one less pistol to worry about.

I'm glad you made a good deal at the show. We've only had one gun show here since Covid so, the gun show option hasn't been there.
I hate to trade at some gun stores, they really low ball you. There are 2 stores that let you put stuff up on consignment, it's a much better way to get a fair price and the gun shop does all the selling, you don't have to do anything.
Now, admit it, you've got some cash and you're thinking about buying a new gun. It's okay, we all do it.

Yeah, I've also been thinking about selling my 1.0 Shield9 since I got my Plus.

Problem is: It's still worth more to me than I'd get for it. Soooooo … in the safe it remains. (not like it's eating up a ton of real estate anyway)

As was said probably need something new. Already have mostly Sig's, a 365. 938 and a 238. Also a Taurus 605 (357/38) revolver and a Ruger GP 100 n 357 and a collection of Heritage 22/22mag revolvers. I'm getting up there is years (79) and the Shield was just too hard to rack for me and I never really liked the trigger although the ver 2 was nicer. I didn't want to invest in the Apex stuff although that might have made the Shield nicer for me. Probably just sit on the cash for a bit and see "what turns my crank" as they say and go from there. Or as spouse says (YOU DON'T NEED ANOTHER GUN)!!! Guess need and want have a defining line -somewhere-.

PS I( had a bottom line but after seeing what they were offering I determined that the $250 was a fair offer. Had $369 in it, another $100 for the sights and install and $30 for the grip so got about 1/2 what I had in it. Not too bad compared to some of the deals I have made in the past. I could kick myself for a few I made long ago. Worst was selling a very old hex barrel Winchester galley pump take down in 22WRF for less than $100 because I needed some cash. I looked up what it is worth today and about died. Oh well! live and learn.

Hard to say what going prices are since COVID and idiot Biden getting elected. I had a SCCY CPX-1 I bought for $170 OTD in 2019. Got a Shield last September so didn't need the CPX anymore. Took it to the same shop I bought it at and they gave me $250 for it!

Sold one of mine to my buddy who owns a local pizza joint. Got $200 plus a free calzone dinner. It was fired very little, but no box. Think I got it for $220 a few years ago. GARY.

geeeeeeeeez... you guys must live in a saturated area. Sold mine for $400 with no box the other day.
