Identify this gun please?2.0

This revolver is a 29-2 I think. Serial #N723502. (edited for 2's that looked like P's)
8 1/2 " from business end to cylinder face.
(by the way, how DO you define 'barrel length'?)
Any ideas on date of ship or mfr?

Hello. What you show as the letter P in that serial is a number, not a letter. The N is correct. Could the P actually be the number 4?

Someone will be along to date that serial number, but is is probably around 1979 or so, near the end of the -2.

The barrel should be 8 3/8" and you measured it correctly from the cylinder face.
