I have a 5" 2nd Model 44HE that lettered as being shipped to the Police Dept of Joplin, Missouri on 1-22-1924.
I have no idea what it might say, but I bet it would be interesting. ;)

Here it is with a few friends. :D

Since I have several firearms that are over 100 years old I've often wondered what tales they could tell.

I’ve often thought that your statement would be a great concept for a pro-firearm movie. A fictional history of an early 20th century revolver and the impact (positive) it had on many successive owners.

Perhaps beginning with it being issued to a turn of the century NY police officer. Ending in being rescued from a pawn shop 125 years later by an elderly S&W or Colt collector.
Final scene as he cleans the worn and battered revolver… “If it could only talk”.

I have two 8mm Mausers, one Turk and one German, that are over 100 years old and still serviceable. Also two S&W 32 Hand Ejectors, one of which is a Regulation Police, that are over 100. If they could talk, indeed...
