If guns could talk what would yours say

“Make my day”……….What else could a Model 29–2 say?

OP I agree with Murph. Rifle?
That aside, all the guns I inherited from my dad probably roll their eyes and say you’re not worthy EVERYTIME I shoot them. Especially at the trap range with dads model 12.

Mine would say, “I love you! Thank you for taking me home.” ;)
….especially for the Hämmerli restoration rescue project shown in the last three photos.

At least, that’s what I hope they’d say!

PS: to the OP AudieMurphy, that is one COOL model 57! When I saw the thumbnails, I thought, “that’s gotta be some pre-war Hand Ejector”. What a surprise!

I’ve had a short fiction story rattling around in my head for a while about what happens inside the safe when a new gun arrives. The shotguns are stuck-up and won’t talk to anyone else, the plastic guns are the mean girls, the bottom of the safe is the bad part of town, the rimfires get treated like little kids…….with a lot of “Grumpy Old Men” dialogue between most of them. Someday I’ll take the time to write it out.

I'm sure none of my commercial weapons have had an exciting life, since they're all high condition. But I have 11 firearms that were issued during the two world wars, both American and German, and I have to wonder if any of them ever fired a shot in anger. It's probably best that I DON'T know.
