If I only had a gun 20/20

One of many parts I thought was a total sham was the fact that the police demonstration in the classroom set the CCW player up to fail.

They had them wear a long in the torso long sleeve t-shirt that hung down to their thighs and large, bulky gloves the made it hard to draw; pretty tough when you are sitting on your shirttail and trying to draw. The were not used to wearing a mask that obscured their side vision. The shooter burst in shot the instructor and then proceded to pepper the CCW person. The other students were police and if you watch they intentially hinder the CCW person. They run right in front of the shooter, a normal person would run away. They then berate the CCW person that they placed the other students in harms way.

The whole show was such a Crock-O-Crap. It was like watching a michael moooooore "film" I hope that normal people can see what is going on.

I for one was disgusted, once again, by our alphabet media.

This should have been one of the lowest rated programs ABC had ever shown however it appears that all the gun people helped get it up off the ground. Knowing what it was going to be, I watched TV Land!

Well I just read all 3 pages of posts and thought I would respond since I brought up this show last week. It was a bunch of crap just like we knew it would be. In the class room the bad guy comes in shoots the teacher and then starts shooting the students. The student with the gun is always sitting front and center where the skilled fire arms instructor bad guy has a quick clear shot at them. One of the gun students supposedly has years of experience with guns and when the shooting starts he got down on the floor behind the desk and chair and was trying to get the gun out from under the long shirt. The bad guy walks toward the desk firing until he gets close enough to shoot the student behind the chair. Now tell me he did not know which student would have the gun. Another thing I thought of that was not mentioned - in some of the recent mass shootings, the bad guys were shooting people in the hall or entrance way before they went into a classroom. If the student/person heard gunshots before the shooter comes through the door he/she could already be planning what to do if that shooter opens the door. This could have happened last week in New York and at Virginia Tech. The show last night said you should play dead or try to get away from the shooting. The shooting last week in New York there was no where to run because the guy blocked the rear door with his car and only God knows why he killed himself when he did instead of going through the building killing more people. Like we have all said, the makers of this program are not going to show guns in any positive light. I only wish we had a way to tell the other side of the story to such a broad audience.

+1 to Barb's comments. To my 13 yr old daughter having guns in the house is the same as having telephones or any other common household items. I have always made her aware of them and not hidden them. We go to the range were she shoots her .22 Marlin and she will soon be moving up to shooting her mom's P22 and .38 snubbie. As for the show isn't putting a gun in a kids toy basket like putting shots of Jack Daniels out at an AA meeting? Also too bad the show couldn't have been more helpful to people by putting out info on places a person can take additional firearms training at the local, state and national level (like Sig Academy or Gunsite).
