If limited to 10 rounds, what do you carry?

I live in CA so I'm limited to 10 rounds spread across all the major calibers. A .45 USP sits on my nightstand for home defense, and for CCW I carry a .40 P229, a 9mm P2000SK and occasionally, a 9mm 6906. If/when the magazine bans go away this lineup is unlikely to change, I'd just get standard cap magazines for what I already have. For what's personally the most effective gun for me it'd be my 5906TSW, but between it being heavy, discontinued, and the reliability issues I've had with this specific one it's relegated to being a range toy. In a world where the 3rd Gens were still being made and were available in my state I'd have a 4006TSW for home defense and a 3913TSW for CC, and a 5903TSW in colder weather.

I have 2 revolvers to select from, they are both 45's. One is a governor with a pouch for an additional 6 round, used mostly when on the recumbent trike, loaded currently with 45 ACP's. The other is a 460V in a black momba holster with a gun belt containing 25 rounds all with FTX bullets. The 45LC have almost no recoil, so far only carry back and forth to the range.

If I were limited to a 10 round capacity magazine I would just carry an extra magazine loaded with another 10 rounds.

If I were limited to a 10 round capacity magazine? I'd carry a 30 round drum, I just don't follow rules very well.

..same thing I've been carrying daily for now 40 years...Colt Commander in .38 Super...9 in the mag and 1 in the pipe... 32 oz. loaded and ready to go...

It isn't how many rounds are in your magazine...it what's between your ears that count in a gunfight...training, tactics, mindset....

Bob

#1..1952...carried daily from 1980 to 2007..

#2...1952...carried daily from 2007 till this afternoon...

No round capacity restrictions in Montana, but I normally carry S&W revolvers, or 8 + 1 single stack semi autos, regardless. Carry extra reloads, and youre set.

What I carry now, which is some type of a semi auto holding a range of 6+1 to 15+1...My primary carries are a Hellcat/Shield with a whole bunch of occasional carries. My new Shield plus will be the primary carry in a few weeks after some shooting and performance check. I might add I really like my 4" EMP CCC which would allow me to bang 10.

Yes, Muss Muggins, I own the gun below. The pics below are form when I bought the gun off Guns International .com including all the gear that came with it. The price was not much above what many Local Gun Stores where charging for the stock gun for the whole "kit and caboodle" so I was just at the right place at the right time to find this deal of a lifetime. :)

It is my bedside gun and as I have said many times elsewhere on this forum my pride and joy. :D

If I had to deal with a 10-round limit on my EDC pistol, I'd still carry the same one: HK VP9SK. I'd just swap out the 13-round mags (that I usually carry) or 15-round mags (that I use for practice) for the 10-round mags. No problem.

Otherwise, I'd just carry my Charter Arms SouthPaw.

What gun to carry if restricted to 10 rounds

My Sig 229 ( .357Sig) came with 2 10 round magazines. or my Colt Officer 1911 .45

We have no capacity restrictions. Don't even need a carry permit.
In over 30 years of carrying a handgun, I still choose some form of 1911. Either Commander or full size.
I carry a 4" model 66, or a 2.5' model 19 on occasion.
Also carry a Glock 19, but mostly during hotter weather.
I just don't put a lot of value on high round count. I'm not saying it is of no value, I just value other things more.

EDC on the street is always my trusted 1911, has been my EDC concealed carry since the 80s. But, on my 300 acres in NM, It's usually a Freedom Arms 454 or one of my Alaskan 454's mated to a lever action 454

In my state we can carry whatever we want. I carry a Ruger LCP or a Ruger LC9 because it's small and light. If I ever feel the need to carry more rounds, I will just carry an extra mag.
