If you could only have one!

tough choice between a 640 Carry Comp and a 65-5 Lady Smith... but definitely one of those two

That's easy. My S&W Model 24-3. Can be loaded for 95% of my needs, from SD to hunting, although my Springfield EMP, is my carry gun.

I don't need to think very hard on it, the .41 magnum revolver in virtually any configuration (but particularly the model 57) is the most versatile firearm I own. It shoots light loads, hot loads and anything in between extremely well, and it looks good doing it.

We've all had the o'l discussions at some point in time on the topic of "what if you could have only one gun what would it be" I want to try a little twist on that and ask;

"If you could only have one REVOLVER what would it be?"

Dave

I would go with the 7 shot 686 Mountain Gun in .357 Magnum with the Model 66 profile 4 inch barrel (I dislike using the term "half-lug").

Seeing as how my primary purpose for owning a handgun is for lawful concealed carry self defense, the one revolver that would be the last one I parted with would be a .38 Special J-frame snub. My current favorite is the Model 642. I sure would miss the rest of my revolvers though.

This sums it up for me too. Well said!

Smith & Wesson blued, 3" barrel Model 13-3 with Bianchi Lightning grips. It doesn't get any simpler than this.
