I guess mine would be a 4" L frame 686 .357.
Model 10 HB.
Sweet. JimWell, I only have one S&W so far. It's my Registered Magnum. She's a keeper.

Yup, I Agree. Have mine in a mahogany box, 3 ‘T’s, purchased new in 1975. 5” is long enough to use to gain velocity, add weight to the muzzle end, and just short enough to holster carry and not push up when seated with the right holster. While I too think the 3/3.5” barrels are the coolest, they lose performance, add muzzle blast, and weight too much to carry regular for minor performance. A 3” 66, especially in the combat magnum chassis, will accomplish the same ballistic performance in a considerably smaller and lighter package. However, there is no such thing as a bad ‘N’ frame!!! JimA 5” Model 27. I like just about any .357 N-Frame, but the 5” 27 is special to me.

I duty carried one in that era. I always wished that I had kept it.This ^ if we’re talking any S&W made. If we’re talking those we own it’s my late dad’s no dash 4” 686 he bought new in Sept 1981.
Shield plus, O.R., 9mmSmith & Wesson Model#15 Combat Masterpiece. Nope, don't own one.
That’s cruel and unusual punishment for a S&W enthusiast! It’s about as bad as asking a guy what his favorite is. It wouldn’t be the most valuable, not the rarest. It wouldn’t be the most practical or the most accurate. If you could choose just one Smith & Wesson firearm to own—whether for personal defense, fun at the range, or collecting—what would it be and why?
Would you pick a classic like the Model 29, a reliable Shield Plus, or something unique?
I’d love to hear what the community values most, as this could influence an upcoming giveaway contest!
