...would you assume they were carrying or just a tacky dressed tourist?

Fanny pack on anyone other than a 60+ yr old lady equals gun.

Depends on where you are. I've visited a few places where I felt left out not wearing a fanny pack.

On the other hand, what are they going to do if you are the only person wearing a fanny pack? There was one clown in an OK town that was going around grabbing at people to feel if they were wearing a gun. He was soon arrested for assault and impersonating an officer.

I cracked up recently to see a photo sent to me by a friend. In it, my father was showing him around a city where my dad lives. Both were wearing fanny packs. Dad's was not carrying a gun (he's only 67 and in shape, though) . . . but I would have had the same exact thought as robotoid in seeing this pair. I suspect that I would have been half right. :D

Who makes it??

Does it come in PINK??

GF wants one to go with her PINK S&W handcuffs and her pink gripped 642 ...

Fanny pack usually equals "gun."

However, just why some folks who CCW don't carry strong side OWB or IWB I cannot comprehend.

Be safe.

Bekeart, back in '91, I used to carry in a hot pink fanny pack. Took it in some pretty anti places, and I don't think anyone ever made me. ;)

I don't think much about bags and such one way or another. None of my business who's carrying and who isn't. Lots of guys carry lots of junk these days and thus need a man bag of one sort or another. If you don't want someone to make it as a gun back, just have a diaper and a bottle hanging out.

In some places around here a guy with socks, sandals, a hawaiian shirt and a waist pack would be considered just another visitor to the rats lair (Disney).

When I am out with my non gunfreinds and mention that some one is carring(because or the fanny pack they have) they tell me only I think like that. So I would assume that most people don't a fanny pack and think "gun" only gun people do.

If I saw someone wearing that, I would die laughing.

Fannypacks scream "gun" only to other "gun" people. The rest of the world might think "dork", if they are thinking about you at all, but I honestly do not believe they think "gun".

Sounds about right to me, but there must be a lot of dorks around here, including some visitors I know from the left coast. There's no way for me to know about most people, and I certainly do not speak for other areas, but I believe that around here, the majority (probably the vast majority) of people carrying fanny packs are not carrying guns.
