I'm a little concerned about ACORN

What do ya'all think about ACORN running the census?
Nothing to worry about... I'm sure that they will do a fine and exacting job.

Besides, nothing much depends on the census except Congressional redistricting and billions of dollars of federal funding.

Why do they need to know what a person's ancestry, ethnic origin, education, income, occupation, place of work, vehicles available, home value or monthly household expenses are? IMHO the questions are over-reaching...

I would like to get a legal opinion on the necessity of providing more information than what the Constitution provides for. I do believe that it pretty much is confined to the number of people residing there.

I've read on other forums that this is all you are constitutionally required to provide. True or not, I am not sure.

Well other people are concerned about the same things I am........a bunch of demoncrat thugs running the census and having access to sensitive private information.

These same thugs will probably form the core group that the "currrent occupant of the oval office" will use to form his "citizens milita" based on the same mission statement that the black panthers were/are.

Maybe I'm old and paranoid but "something just aint right about this"

Be VERY worried about ACORN.
Well said Bradley, well said. I had a run in with them about 8 months ago on a BS complaint against a client that they were pushing (fair housing). Cost my client about 5K SOLELY on ACORN's BS and when I tried to get reimbursement for friviolous filings, they pointed out the little paragraph where there was no recourse. The Judge was beside himself but there was nothing he could do. Too complicated to really go into but these people are stealthy and dangerous.

An close friend (very conservative) just received the invasive census form this month. He contacted his lawyer and was warned that not responding would put him at risk of punitive action and the fine.

He mentioned it to me and I was shocked to learn the ridiculous nature of these questions. Doing some Google research I found a suggestion on how to answer the questions 'appropriately'. (below)

The answers to these actual questions are pretty funny... I just wonder if completing the form in a like manner would protect you against the fine.

:D:D:D +1

I do wonder how they would respond to that though...
