I’m heartbroken - 18DAI has left the building

I originally posted about the non-railed railed 4513TSW I wanted.
John posted a picture of his, (upside down of course, too funny they were always upside down,) just to show that they existed.

Yeah, he didn't post pictures very often & invariably they were rotated the wrong way. :p

One picture was of his CS45 with TercGen grips that I just had to correct & re-posted it for him later in that thread.

It was this one.

I am gutted to hear this news. I have not been on the forum much the past 6 months due to travelling.
JR and I have been friends for many years exchanging PM, emails and phone calls. We exchanged several 45s and 9s over the years. In fact there was this one beauty... a LE melonite 4566 LNIB that I bought from him. He was pretty remorseful after some time so I sold it back. ( same price) Then a few years later I was working on an all blue/black finish single stack 1st-3rd gen collection. I knew he had that variant and so I sheepishly asked if he wanted to sell it again. He sold it to me at our original trading price!! We swapped this gun 3 times and the only ones making money were the transfer FFLs and Post Office! John was a real class guy. He is irreplaceable. May he Rest in Peace. MY condolences to his family. The Greensboro area has also lost the best firearms instructor and salesman they will ever see. Good bye Friend.

I haven't logged on since mid March.

Today, I dros'd a couple of smith autos on consignment that I couldn't let pass me by…a 3904 and one of my bucket list guns from my youth, a 3913.

And of course, I popped back on this forum to do some reading and I come across the news.

Godspeed 18DAI; your posts were always informative and well received.
