I'M LOOKING FOR 617 HAMMER AND TRIGGER

I'm looking for a 617 ( Kor L ) TARGET hammer and trigger for my 617 no dash. Must be in good shape to fit and work on my 617.

Any help or ideas where to get them would be appriciated.

You could possibly get them from Brownells or direct from Smith & Wesson. I'd opt for S&W even if it cost a little more to know you are getting the right parts.

All of the new parts from Smith & Wesson and Brownell's are MIM parts.

Keep your eyes on Gun Broker, because when forged pieces come up for auction, they move quickly. If You're looking for the target hammer/trigger, You may find them in color cased, but stainless pieces are becoming very scarce.

Make sure that You buy a K-Frame hammer for rim-fire only, as hammers are unique to each frame size, and rim fire hammers are different than center fire.

Triggers will interchange between K, L, N frames.

I was hoping to find the stainless target hammer and trigger. I have the forged color case hardened triggers and hammers. Just didn't want to use them on the 617 as I prefer the all stainless. But it sounds like I might have to use them.

You can have those non-stainless items plated, though the charge is generally 20 to 25 dollars per piece for satin chrome (whatever) plating.
