Came home from the range today, was working in the shop, dropped something that rolled under a bench, got down and retrieved it, when I was getting up, my right foot slipped and my leg twisted. Something went pop (accompanied by a lot of pain). I had this hip joint replaced years ago and I just got back from the ER. Crack in the pelvis where the artificial joint is mounted. Need to have surgery again to repair this one. What a drag, good thing that competition season is over, maybe I can be better in a few months. (wonder if I could mount a holster on to the new "walker" that they just gave me?)

Man, that really sucks. I hope you heal quickly and don't have to go through a lot of pain. You mentioned a walker, and I read on the news today where an elderly man heard someone trying to break in his house and confronted the with a handgun that he keeps in a holster on his walker. The perp fled the scene quickly and he was OK.
Good luck to you sir.
peace, and Merry Christmas,
Gordon

I tell yas, whenever I drop anything any more, I just nudge it into the light a little better with my foot, and decide I'll pick it up the next time I'm down there.

Sorry for your troubles....The good thing about old age, (assuming you are), is, it don't last too long !

Sorry to hear that buddy.

Don't lose your sense of humor you've used it to amuse me many times.

If you get bored you can debur flash holes in 45 cases:P.

Hang in there.

Get well soon!

Ive been riding the desk due to a knee injury I suffered on duty on the day before Thanksgiving. I'm going insane and finding new ways to get in trouble. The neighborhood policing guy found the TASER dummy sitting in his office chair one morning. One of the Sergeants found his office completely rearranged, the commander found her office filled with chairs, and several people have left their computers up when they left the room and have had mysterious emails sent from their accounts.

Must be a ghost around here.

Get well soon! Do exactly what the Dr.'s say, they are a little smarter than we are. Have a great Christmas.

No Dancing with the Stars for you right now. :) It sounds like you are no stranger to hip hassles. Get well soon, as I sit here with a heating pad on my lower back.

PS. You should mount guns to each side of your walker. BUG.

Hope you recover quickly and enjoy the holidays.
Merry Christmas.

Wow, that's a stroke of bad luck anytime, but especially here at the holidays. At least you'll have a good reason for not seeing anybody you don't want to see, or doing anything you don't want to do, for awhile! :)

Hope your surgery goes well and that being sidelined for awhile will just be a good opportunity to spend more time here on the Forum. I do hope the surgery and recovery go well; it's no fun having any kind of ortho surgery (as you well know) and I hope your doc will be generous with those good ol' pain meds.

Hang in there!
