Don't call me Sir, I work for a living (had to say that first, it's a programmed response) :D

Thank you to all for the support. I have an appointment with my orthopedist tomorrow (he's done all my replacements so he knows the territory well ) Not sure what they're going to need to do, but I hope it's quick, I hate sitting around (not as much as moving around with a walker though). Even my dog is worried, she paces around for a while, stops, stares at me, whines and then paces around again. She knows something is wrong but not exactly what.

Again, I really appreciate the support guys. Thanks again.

No range time..........
got to put a hold on clam digging for "Steamers".........

Bummer !!

Those leg or back injuries are the pits.
I just got healed up a few months back.

Get well soon.

Very sorry to hear of your misfortune. Pay attention to the docs and get better soon! Cheers!

Be safe.

Prayers here for a speedy and total recovery - sorry that you have to endure this during the Christmas season, but I'm glad it's fixable and they're on it.

Sorry to hear it. Hope the repair work is quick and relatively easy when it comes to recovery. Bummer about it happening at this time of year, especially if you'd planned some holiday activities outside. (On the other hand, now you can spend some quality time relaxing in front of the fire without people pestering you about getting up and out. :) )

The whole aging thing involves a lot of fine print we usually don't read as young people (presuming age related wear & tear instigated the hip joint replacement in the first place).

Best wishes for a quick recovery.

Any idea of estimated recovery time? Hopefully it's quick and your up and mobile for next season.

Prayer from Texas for your complete healing. This must be a major bummer.

Me Too!

I'm sidelined myself right now, so I have an inkling of what you're going through. Last Friday I was visiting my Mom at the retirement home she's at. I walked across the dining room floor to refill her ice jug, & one second I was standing, the next second I was flat on the floor. The fall knocked the wind out of me(I hate when that happens!) & bruised my right side. If I move even slower than normal I can get around OK. I'm just super sore right now & I sure don't want to cough or sneeze, because the pain is very intense. I might have a couple of cracked ribs. Oh well.

Just got back from my orthopedist, not a happy camper. He summed it up in 2 words. "Major Surgery" He needs to replace my old artificial hip joint with a new one. And the news even gets better. It's going to be a month(at the soonest) before he can do the surgery. Apparently the new joint has to be fabricated. So I'm stuck with a combination of crutches/walker/wheelchair for probably a couple of months at least. I think I'm going to try and fit a holster to the wheelchair so I can at least shoot a couple of matches so I don't go completely rusty.

I hear ya on that because--I need tohave both feet operated on again, and last tie it wasnt any fun. I usd crutches once--preferred a cane soI could carry my food to my room after cooking. Used a cane for about 6 months till I got tired of lugging it around. Well, the first two operatins were 3 weeks apart--and man--I never felt so much pain for so long--even with taking Morphine pills and liquid Loritab.

Anyway, get well soon Sarge (I learn quickly sometimes):D

Well, I am attempting to make the best of a bad situation. I just got back from the range and this worked pretty well. I'll have to see how it goes in my Tuesday night match next week. My wife is certain I am nuts.

Well, I got to shoot tonight, not much on speed between shooting positions, but it was fun (slow, but fun)
