When I joined this forum in 2012, I was still working on getting my ability to walk back.
About 6 or 7 years ago I was diagnosed with a degenerative peripheral motor nerve condition called Multi-Focal Motor Neuropathy. My neorologist wanted to prescribe me an electric wheelchair and narcotics.
I declined. Took me most of a year to relearn how to walk using the muscles that still worked.

"Keep on Chooglin" is a song by Creedence Clearwater Revival. One of my favorite groups.

To me it meant to keep on trying, keep going.

Since that time, not only am I still on my feet but I'm back to hiking and biking. Yeah, there's mostly good days but there's also sometimes not so good days but overall, I think I'm doing pretty good.

I've been thinking of changing it to "Never Say Die" by Black Sabbath. Another one of my favorite groups.

It's a bit more energetic, kinda goes with how I've been feeelin' lately. Been almost 6 years. Time for a change or stick with it?

I'm aware your a regular contributing member.
I want aware of a medical condition.
I would say to change your sig line. We are always changing as we travel along. Your obviously not the same as 6 years ago.
6 yrs ago, I had only 1 S&W revolver.

I vote for change.

Nah!... stick with your current tag. You'd get tired of explanations.

I can really sympathize with the neuropathy, as I am battling a dose myself, due to a motorcycle crash back in '75. Spinal stenosis, damaged discs... the works, along with a host of other problems because of going full-blast my entire life, along with a hereditary AAA problem that was taken care of 2 years ago. Everything from my hips down turn to lead when trying to walk normally... a lot of rests when going out in the woods. I had to retire a year earlier than I wanted to because I was just getting run down so easily. A few trips to the docs revealed why, and they pretty much saved my life. Now, I want to get my money's worth with this retirement gig. It's an ongoing thing with trips to the quacks.

Side note: CCR is also one of my faves. About 15 years ago one of the sorta local FM stations was running a quick jumble of 10 Creedence song clips while I was listening at work (building hi-po car engines). One of the songs was "Keep On Chooglin', which also happens to be one of my favorite CCR tunes. I scribbled down the titles and stuffed the note in my pocket. When I got home I hopped online (call-in or online submission) and sent off the answers.

A quick reply told me I had won the 6 CD set, which covered CCR and The Golliwogs (pre-CCR)! Hell, not to miss out on grabbing the prize, I took the next day off from work and drove 60 miles on a rainy November day to the radio station to retrieve my present. I spoke with the receptionist, told her who I was and why I was there, and she went into the studio to retrieve one of the DJ's. He came out to the front desk with a smile on his face, and the boxed set in his hands, and told me that I was the only one who had named all 10 songs correctly in order, and that they'd had to lower the number of qualifying guesses in able to give the rest away. He seemed to be fairly impressed, which pretty much surprised me.

In any case, you just "Keep on Chooglin", brother. :D

Definitely "Keep on Chooglin'." At our age the ailments keep coming at us and we have to fend them off or deal with them as they come. I know I've been dealing with health issues for the last several years and I retired early in order to deal with them and take better care of myself. Tonight at the VFW one of my friends was telling me how much better I was looking and I know that by treating a chronic health issue I am feeling like a new man. Keep on Chooglin'.

What Peak said!! But we do kinda know you by the "Keep on Chooglin'" line!!

Best Regards, Les
I agree. But I never knew the origin of it until now - I thought it was something you came up with yourself!
The fact that it is CCR just makes me like it even more.
But Sabbath is good too, so whatever works for you is A-Ok in my book - just like you buddy!
