In which decade did you purchase your first revolver?

I was given a revolver in the 1940's. It was a Saturday Night Special that my Dad filed the firing pin off of the hammer and gave it to me as a toy.
I seem to remember it was a "Ranger No.2" in 30 Rimfire.

1971 - High Standard Durango at a Gibson's store (remember those) while in graduate school and living in a bad neighborhood. Paid $35 which stretched my budget. Still have it.
