The product code is the SKU number for the particular model. Often the special order number is merely a "Julian Date" which has been discussed on this Forum. Do a search for "Julian Date." Sometimes the special order number is something else. There is also usually a UPC (Universal Product Code, typically a 12 digit number corresponding to the Bar Code).

It is pretty cool to use the Julian date to determine the day your pistol was finalized and placed on the outbound rollers.

I'm more confused now than before,my Julian date # is 3119,does that mean the 119th day of the year 03,even though there is no 0 in the number??

Search julian date on this forum. I started that thread last year with my 9VE Julian date. A member determined my 9VE Julian date when uncoded is April 6th, 2007 There is a formula that I am unaware of, but I'm still baffled by dvd, vhs, cable remotes, women, etc.

I think I've figured it out, my 915 with the Julian date of 3119 was made on the 119th day of 1993.
Someone please correct me if it's wrong.

The handwritten number was probably the dealers inventory number.
