Went to Lowe's today to pickup some true fuel pre mix for my chainsaw so what could go wrong? I go in thinking I should be in and out quick but there was a sign hanging that said see sales associate for all premix fuel. I finally found someone to help me and he had no idea why the sign was put up. Long story short the rioters have been using it for making fire bombs and it seemed none of the employees knew where it was located in the store. I asked for a manager and was told he had the day off so they called him and was able to locate it 30 minutes later. Just another day in paradise!!!

Too rich for my blood! I get Stihl 2 stroke oil and make my own mix with good none ethanol gas. It goes in 4 of my tools and works rather fine.

Here in so far "Free Tennessee" you can still find 93 octane no ethanol gas..........I filled my gas containers yesterday for my mowers, small engines and ATV. Should last me for the next couple of months.

All this PC **** will come to a head in the future......be prepared.

I doubt anyone can quickly go in and out of a Lowe's store. Except maybe if one walked in the entrance door and immediately turned around and walked out for whatever reason.

I have two Lowe's within 10 miles of where I live and I have never had a problem getting in and out quick when you know what your looking for.

I'm not so sure about that - I guess it depends on how they have the "flow of traffic" set up. Whatever you do, don't go out one of the "In" doors for goodness sake!

I get in and out of anywhere in short order. Unless I encounter something like the OP did.
I know what I am going to buy and how much I am going to buy before I ever walk in.
I go buying as opposed to going shopping.

Is that true at the LGS??

I don't remember the last time I went into a store; gun shops excepted, to just "shop" around. I always have looked at this as a female activity!!

Local Lowe's and Home Depot have been unusually busy during the whole COVID-19 panic, but I haven't experienced any problems. I need to go to one or the other almost every week. Stores are big enough that "Social Distancing" is not difficult.

Tru Fuel which is expensive does have it's uses. It's more convenient especially for things like chain saws, which in my case I will only use once or twice a year. It lasts longer than keeping fuel in a gas can. And I will have to go check, but I think the ratio on my chain saw is different, 40/1 from my blower, 50/1 and other tools that I use. So it keeps me from having to have a special gas can for my chain saw. all for about $5.

But I do have a special mix gas can for my 50/1 tools.

I use it in everything but I don't use the tools much. I guess less than a tank per year. It saves the draining and run out to store the tools. For as much as I burn the cost is meaningless.

I did do a lot of chainsaw work a few years ago, used my own mix but as the work was nearing the end I went back to the good stuff.

I have a small outboard motor, I even use it in that!

Things that start when you want to use them, worth it to me!

Nonalcohol gas isn't available locally.

Just to make you happy!

In Augusta, GA no alcohol regular gas is $2.45 to $3.35 per gallon. 10% ethanol gas is $1.88 per gallon. All are 87 octane.

In Montana, at our last fillup before leaving for home 88 octane no ethanol gas was $1.98 per gallon, 87 octane 10% ethanol was $1.88. Sure is nice to know local folks are getting hosed in Augusta, GA. No surprise there.
