Yes the only one i have seen was a model 60, i think there are others.I am sure some one more knowledgable will be along.

Model 36-6 is 38 special with 3 inch full lug barrel with target sights, 60-4 is a 3 inch full lug, also model 50 was .38 chief with target sights.

To answer both your questions:

Do they exist? Yes
Are they currently made? Not in 38 spl

The only adjustable sight J frame currently made is the model 60 in 357 and you don't see many of them or older ones as they seem to be keepers.

Yes 60-1 snubbie in SS. I believe it is 1 7/8".It has fully adjustable rear sights.I have one as well as a 60-4 3" er with adj. sights.

Here's the 60-4 with 3" bbl. & Target grips, the 60-1 has the snubby bbl, a 36 model something was made in blue with adj. sights & very hard to find.

I think I read that they made 600 of them, the blue model was a 36-6 I think, and they made about 675 of them. They don't show up that often.

I think it was some time in the 80's, S&W made about 600 model 60-1's with target sights. I paid a premium on BG to get mine. I can't see regular sights, so, it was worth it. If you can live with steel (blue), model 36 and 37's with sights are more common.
