Is Armscor ammo good?

My range buddies and myself shoot it all the time . I even shoot it in my 41 , but now with the 7.375 barrel , I've found it likes Aguila . I've shot it in any 22 I have and I do not hesitate too recommend it .

.22LR only but no serious problems. Dirtier than others, but a bore/chamber brush carried with me keeps things running well.
What duds I've had always fired with a rotation of the round so the firing pin strikes a different area of the rim. When the ammo shortage was in full swing it was the lowest priced and most readily available ammo so I tried it. Got 2,000 rounds on the shelf now.

I used to use it with my 22's a lot, but during the pandemic something really happened to their quality control; as it has been nothing but trouble since. I finally just gave it to the local Boy Scouts to use in their gun safety and shooting program. As to 22 Ammo now I only use Federal or Norma, and never have had a problem.
You hit upon what’s probably the most disturbing issue with Armscor .22LR ammo. During the COVID Panic, worldwide shipping reduction caused painful shortages of the best ammunition components. During those shortages, Armscor obtained what it thought was good priming compound, which test fired very well, initially. However, it wasn’t long after loading and shipping mass quantities of this ammo, that it was discovered its priming compound seriously lacked stability, deteriorating such that misfires started becoming common. I personally test fired both High Speed and Standard Velocity Armscor .22LR ammo from that batch and experienced more than 50% misfires. Good grief!

The good news is that Armscor began using its original reliable priming mixture again immediately after shipping folks came to their senses following COVID. So, Armscor’s .22LR ammo is again as good as ever. Also good news: Armscor is very good about replacing its .22LR ammo, should you happen to encounter any of that old bad batch still in circulation (likely on vendors’ tables at gun shows, being sold to the unwary). I find the Armscor .22LR to be a little "dirtier" than, say, CCI or Federal.
My 15-22 doesn't like it...my wife's will shoot it all day long. I use Armscor HV in lots of my other guns, and SV in my old High Standard pistols. Gotta clean them all more often than I do if I'm using CCI or Federal. No big deal to me...what's 30 seconds with a swab?
The price has sure been right with the Armscore lately, so I'll clean!

Remember, S&W recommends CCI AR22LR in the manual for the 15-22.
Remember that most every .22LR semi-auto is straight blowback operated. Dirty chambers won’t always allow rounds to fully enter the chamber, leaving the cartridge’s arse end sticking out the back, unsupported. The disconnector mechanism of some gun designs will allow the hammer to fall while the breech is still a little bit out of battery. The result can be a ruptured cartridge case, which has the potential to be rather exciting. Keep .22LR semi-auto chambers at least reasonably clean, and scrupulously adhere to basic safe gun handling practices.
