i am picking up my m&p in the next few weeks. and i would like to pick up some rounds for the .40cal before receiving the gun. i have seen that the blazer is pretty cheap for target practice. is it a OK round or what is a good lower priced ammo for the 40 that shoots good and does not cost a small fortune. i don't need anything special like hallow point just a good all around practice ammo. :)

Blazer is excellent ammo, its always shot accuratly in about every caliber Ive shot it in. Our indoor range doesnt allow reloads and Blazers are what I take with me for the indoor range. You can go on the web sight and get ballistics for the calibers offered.

Thanks every body that's good to know cause it is a bit cheaper for these then some of the others I have seen.

I shoot a lot of blazer brass I have been getting it cheaper than the aluminum blazer. I have never had a problem with either.

As everyone above has said, it's good practice ammo so buy what you find. The only complaint I have is with their .357 Magnum ammo. It's felt recoil is much lighter than other Magnum rounds such as Remington UMC or Winchester White Box. That's not a bad thing in itself unless you are trying to accustom yourself the the stiffer recoil of a .357 Magnum.

I shoot Blazer Brass in .380, 9mm, and .40 cals. Never had a problem with it. Around here the only thing I can find cheaper is PMC.

what is a good price per 50 or 100 round box i see the 50 round for about 20 bucks or so. and is it worth the hassle to buy online to save some loot on ammo

Not too beat a dead horse... but Blazer is mighty fine ammo. I use it a lot for target shooting. I got a box of 50 .40 for $12.97 at WalMart on Sunday.

nice i will look tomorrow at mine and pick a few up if they have any that is a good price for 50

One thing i found on the blazer ballistic chart in the .357 is the aluminum cases are listed at 1150 fps and the blazer brass is listed at 1250 fps. It does seem that the blazer brass at least in 357 is loaded a bit warmer than its aluminum counterpart.

Shooters here in jax has 1000 round boxes of Blazzer Brass for $309. Thats a pretty good deal as far as i can see..
