hello everybody! i came across a 29-2 8 3/8 nickel plated smith mint conditon it has the original wood box with all the cleaning tools and screww driver. at my local gun shop. he said it was there under consignment. hes asking $800 dollars. what do you think about the prise.

Not sure where you are from, but $800 sounds a bit high for an 8 3/8 Model 29-2 except for a early S- prefix serial number. However, these things are not getting any cheaper. Nickel finished 29's are seen less often than blued ones so if it is really mint and complete, prices should catch up soon.

I agree, it sounds a little high but not that far out of reach, the box and papers are a plus and it's nice to see mint examples of older guns, so with that said if I seen it sitting there I would probally buy it. The little amount too high would not stop me as said before they are not getting any cheaper.
