I recently bought a 3" Lew Horton model 624 and I really like it. I am thinking of buying a 4" one, but I am wondering if the face of the trigger is smooth like my 3" gun or is it serrated?

I took it for granted that the trigger face was smooth, until I could swear that I saw a picture of one that was serrated. I do not like serrated trigger faces. thanks.

Here is a picture of my 3" 624.

the trigger on my 624 4" is smooth from the factory. As far as I know the 6,5" usually had the traget trigger which is serrated. I'm not sure if you could order the 624 4" with a target trigger.

If you end up with a grooved trigger, all is not lost! Here is what the trigger on a Model 25-2 looks like after a little polishing.

It is had to photograph but the face of the trigger is absolutely smooth. Any marks you think you see are reflections.

Ya know. Way back I did that to the trigger on ma 4 in 24. Daddy said it would rust........It didn't.

Finger pointing

Wow you got me thinking. Looked at my S&W
Revolver, I think I found them all.

All smooth triggers. One honorable mention is
the ‘79 Model 41 semi-auto 22lr target pistol
has a serrated trigger.

Anyway the Best to you and your Endeavors
