It's a little older one and looks fairly stock. Doesn't look like anyone changed out grip safety, thumb safety, hammer, trigger, mag release or sights. So might be a positive indicator that the internals haven't been jacked with.
Just my opinion though, that one is used and looks it. It is a buyers market on new and used guns right now, especially new.
I just priced checked on the web for stainless full size 1911's with equivalent features as the one pictured (not stripped down or GI type models).
Rock Island - $550 to $600
Ruger, Remington, Kimber, Smith and Wesson, Springfield Armory can be found $700 to $800 price range.
Colt, step up Springfield and Kimber, Sig Sauer $800 to $900 or so.
So, if the new equivalent Smith or similar can be had for 700 to 750 I wouldn't give $500 for one that worn in today's market; however, if you could wiggle it down some or trade in your favor that gun although finish challenged would likely be a solid shooter.
