Is your better half for or against conceal carry ?

My wife and i carry. Not all the time but when in areas or late at night it could come in handy.I have to love these women who are gun haters. If trouble was brewing they would be the first to scream they need help by someone with a gun.I would bet my life on that !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YES! She had her CCW before I got mine.

She makes damn sure I'm carrying all the time. She also likes to walk arm-in-arm with me and rest her arm against my pistol.

my wife doesn't care for guns but accepted that I carried. For about the past year she has asked if I was carrying when we went out, said it made her feel better. She is now going to take a NRA safety class and is considering getting her permit. The times are changing and so are the people out there.

My wife has her permit, I took her shooting many times, many guns and paid for her class etc. Bought several guns. She doesn't get I might need her to cover me and being 10 years "her senior" when I croak off she'll need to DIY. I think she feels the "new age positive waves" in the universe will protect her. Funny how much she appreciates me being armed. I guess I'd say she's "neutral" if that's possible. Joe

My position from 20 years ago until today is that it didn't matter whether she liked it or not. She had to get used to it. Over time she has come over to the dark side.

She has literally laughed at me for always carrying around big guns, so I took that as advisement to buy some smaller guns...and did.

She has nothing against it and has a few guns herself.

Although my wife has her own permit it is not to carry. Something that she will be working to correct . In the off chance that I forget to arm myself when we leave the house she makes sure to remind me to. :D

My wife has had her concealed carry permit since 1992 and she carries. If I get a new gun and she outshoots me with it, it often becomes her gun.

My wife's dad was Major Billy Wilson the Chief of Detectives for Baton Rouge, LA police department and grew up hearing first hand stories from him about the trash that roams our city streets. She asks me if I've got my gun on all the time when we go out.

My wife is all for it. In fact, she would carry every day if she/we could get our ccw. Unfortunately we live in a part of CA that doesn't issue permits.

My wife and I have had guns in the house for years but I never carried or got a license. We each had our own guns and we'd go shooting every once in a while. With events that have been taking place I finally decided to get my CHL over a year ago. She didn't care either way at first, but a few times recently when things seemed a little out of place she'd look at me and say "you do have sparky, right". Never thought she'd give it a nickname, but she just expects me to carry all the time now. She's been talking about her getting her own CHL now.

Shes for CC, and actually shoots a little more than i do. However the age old question is where she really shines.

U ask her, Mag or Clip?....She always replies, Belt Fed!!!!!!!!

I'm a red blooded southern boy.....

I've never wanted to carry a gun. But things change. My wife isn't adverse to it either. She prefers to have guns in the house. She works for the P.O. and can't take a gun near the place, but she indicates she wouldn't be adverse to carrying. She's supporting my acquiring carry arms in addition to the gun I already have. Of course they are all 'range guns', too, for fun and practice.

My wife went from tolerating me carrying, to being very comfortable with it, to expecting it, to requesting it, to getting herself a PPK/S, to applying for a LTC. Stage one, tolerating, lasted about 25 years. Stage two, comfortable, went on for about 10 years. The other stages were a progression since Paris and SanBernardino.
So, now I believe in climate change!

My wife was totally against it for years. She was scared that my daughter would get her hands on it and we'd have a disaster. I didn't really fight her on it until I started to see how our society was starting to head down hill. Seeing clips of the "knockout game" and cops being attacked with hatchets etc pushed me over the edge. I went and got my Class A license but still did not have a firearm in the house. Well about 8 months ago we were in bed asleep and the alarm in our house went off (about 1:30 AM) we called the cops (ADT) and it took them about 10 minutes to get there.
Well that 10 minutes scared the bejezus out of her. After the cops left she turned to me and said "ok I get it go get a gun" . Now I have 2 and she is taking the class for her permit next week. I took her to the range with a friend of mine who is a firearms instructor and within the hour she had pretty decent groupings firing a M&P 22. Now everytime I take my daughter anywhere she asks" dad are you carrying?"
"yes honey of course I am" :)

Let's put it this way. When we leave the house she verbally goes through my checklist (us young-old codgers need help). Wallet, phone, keys, weapon. She used to have a CCW until we moved and just hasn't gotten around to getting hers again. But it is on her to-do list for next spring. Says she wants to replace her Lady Smith 38sp/357 (not sell) for a semi-auto. Likes my S&W M&P 9mm, (probably what she will get), also my S&W Chief Special CS45 (really enjoys shooting it but not a concealed carry).
