NRA-ILA :: Current members of Mayors Against Illegal Guns (sic)

This group "Mayors Against Illegal Guns", wants to stop your right to carry concealed. They want to close the gun show loophole, and if your unlucky enough to have the same name as someone on the "terrorist watch list", then the “Terror Gap” bill could stop you from owning or buying guns in the future.

Please write your mayor a polite letter and see if you can change his/her mind. If they wont, then do your best to fire them in the next election.

Stay Safe,

A.T

Birmingham's current mayor is on the list, but since he will likely be visiting a federal facility for a very long time in the very near future, it's really a moot point.:D

No surprise here. Denver is 30 miles up the road from me. Mayor "Hick" is on the list. Denver has been anti-gun for at least the 33 years that I have lived around it.

Interesting sidebar here......A few years ago Officer Donny Young was murdered by being shot in the back and his LE partner was wounded but survived because he was wearing a vest that stopped the bullet. They were off-duty as security at a Denver wedding reception. The scum that did the deed was an illegal from Mexico. He escaped to Mexico and fought extradition back to Denver. Denver finally got him back after the powers that be agreed to not seek the death penalty, to satisfy the Mexican authorities. Today the perp rots in jail somewhere and he is probably a hero to his fellow inmates.

The above perp was employed by none other than (Mayor) John Hickenlooper at his Cherry Cricket restaurant, a pretty nice burger/beer joint over in poshy east Denver's Cherry Creek. Hick or his people hired the soon to be killer and as far as anyone knows, never bothered to check his immigration status. IMO, had Hick found out that his soon to be infamous employee was an illegal, it did not matter. It is a well known fact that Denver is a "sanctuary city" and that Mayor Hick supports its policy of such.

As far as I know, Denver still does not allow open carry by Mr.&Mrs. Sixpack within the City and County of Denver and never mind the state law that allows otherwise. Mayor Hick supports this policy.

I wonder what would have been the media outcry had Mayor Hick been a conservative republican instead of a statist democrat when Officer Young was gunned down?

R.I.P. Donny Young. Thank you for your service and your sacrifice.

Seattle's current mayor is on the list but he will be out come Nov. Lost in the primaries. Being up here in the wet NW is a big change from Texas. Thank god I won't have stay here.

What a surprise. Chuck Reed from San Jose is on the list. If the drunk Joe McNamara was still Chief of Police, then they would be DFK each other.

I see the half witted anti-gun and anti-cop mayor of Albany, NY Jerry Jennings is on there. Doesn't suprise me, he visits the tanning booth more than anyplace else.

I realize that it is not an option for some people, but we moved to an unincorporated part of the county so we don't have a mayor. Hopefully it will stay that way, but I doubt it. Our "subdivision" is 45 acres with 14 homes and is completely surrounded by the city. Sooner or later I am sure they will annex us or just take it by eminent domain, but we are fighting it.

When we bought the house, I used to shoot turkey from my back porch. Now if I fire a gun from my porch, I will put out the living room windows of the houses in the new subdivision behind us!

Ours would have to have someone read him the material related to it?
Scott, I don't know what the terms are for "forced annexation" in your state? I do know that at least in Illinois, a city that has 3 of the four sides of a parcel like yours can do what is termed a "forced" annexation. I watched a city I worked for 25 years ago do it, twice. I don't imagine that the court decisions of late have made it any tougher to do?

Ours is on the list, no big surprise given the ordinance they just passed here. I've sent four emails to him and called his office twice...i dont think he wants to talk to me. It would hurt my feelings..if i had any.

You know, I think I saw a youtube clip of Rahm Emanuel speaking in 2007 where he said they should use the "no fly list" as a way to prevent people from owning guns.

YouTube - Rahm Emanuel, if you are on No Fly List, No Gun! Alex Jones Film, The Obama Deception

Yeah, because a list that was put together so well that Sen. Ted Kennedy got flagged and stopped because of it (because of how vague the names are, apparently), is surely a great way to decide if people should be allowed to purchase a gun or not.

Your government at work. We give them more money, and they keep putting the screws to us.

Louisiana has four mayors on the list and they all have one thing in common.
Thankfully the mayor of our little town(6,000 people) is on the "It ought to be legal to chain smoke Marlboro's in the office" list :rolleyes"

wow, surprised to see my conservative hometown on the list (Hemet, CA). Obviously SF and Oakland, but Hemet is out there in the desert of Southern California.
